David M. Allen, A.I.A.

David Allen graduated from Ball State University in Muncie Indiana,  where he received a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design degree in 1984. David began his career with the firm of Potter and Cox Architects in 1984, where he served for 19 years, advancing to the position of Senior Architect, while building a reputation for design excellence and exceptional service.

In 2003, Mr. Allen co-founded Cox Allen and Associates Architects and has worked  to build a firm  which is dedicated to providing quality design and service. In his role as partner, David has designed and led a vast array of projects, including religious facilities, renovations and restorations, government facilities, senior housing and healthcare facilities, educational buildings and bank buildings. He has designed  several projects which have received design awards on state and national levels.

David has been actively involved in the local development and promotion of the architectural profession through his professional affiliation with the American Institute of Architects. He is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

David is married with children, and he is an active member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church where he serves as lector and parish council member. He enjoys fishing, canoeing, and camping, and is an avid motorcyclist.
